Gifting a game server: how it works
Two paths, two situations: the gift card to give a server to someone, a shared chest to split the bill on a server that is already running.

Gifting a game server runs into a practical problem: the gift is not an object, and the person you are giving it to may not have an account. Two paths exist at Easy Game Server, and they answer different situations.
The gift card: giving to someone
You pick an amount, you pay, and the code is emailed to you once the payment is confirmed. You pass the code on however you like: printed, copied into a message, tucked into a card. The recipient activates it on their account, and the amount joins their balance.
The recipient does not need to be a customer already. The credit does not depend on any running subscription: it waits on the account until the first order. Gifting a server to someone who has never ordered from us therefore works exactly like gifting a renewal to a player who is already set up.
The shared chest: sharing the bill
When the server already exists and the group wants to share the bill, the account holder generates a contribution link from their account and shares it. Each contribution is a fixed amount, added straight to their balance. No code changes hands, and nobody is charged automatically afterwards.
The contribution page is public: a friend who has never heard of Easy Game Server can see what they are funding before deciding. Paying, on the other hand, requires an account with a verified email address.
Which one to choose
- A birthday, a surprise, a server that does not exist yet → the gift card. It can be handed over, and it asks nothing of the recipient until they want it.
- A running server to fund together → the shared chest. The credit lands directly on the right account, with no middle step and no code to dig up three weeks later.
Before you pay
- An account with a verified email address is required, both to buy a gift card and to contribute.
- The service is offered to customers established in the European Union.
- Neither a gift card nor a contribution is refundable once paid.
