Legal information

Privacy policy

This policy describes the data processed to manage customer accounts, orders, subscriptions, support and service security.

Section 1

Data controller

The data controller is the website publisher, Easy Game Server, whose identifying details appear in the legal notice. Any request relating to personal data is sent to support@easygameserver.com.

Section 2

Data collected

  • Identity and contact details: name, email and account information.
  • Order data: offer, game, region, price, subscription, and the related billing and payment references.
  • Payment data limited to information necessary for tracking; full card data is handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.
  • Technical data: connection logs, IP addresses, security events, resource identifiers and server setup status.
  • Support data: messages, attachments and request history.
  • OAuth data if the customer uses an external provider: provider identifier, transmitted email and verification status.

Section 3

Purposes

  • Customer account creation and management.
  • Order, payment, subscription and invoice processing.
  • Game server delivery and management.
  • Customer support and incident tracking.
  • Security, fraud prevention and action traceability.
  • Compliance with accounting, tax and legal obligations.
  • Email marketing: where the customer has not objected, Easy Game Server may send offers for game server hosting similar to those the customer subscribed to. Legal basis: Easy Game Server’s legitimate interest in making its offers known to its customers (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), within the framework of Article L. 34-5 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code. These emails stop no later than one year after the end of the customer relationship.
  • Advertising and promotion effectiveness: when a visit comes from a link carrying a campaign code (an ad link, or a link posted by Easy Game Server in an online community or forum), that code is kept during the visit and then recorded with the order, in order to count the orders, attempted and paid, obtained by each campaign or each place of posting, and to decide whether to continue or stop an advertising spend or a promotional action. The code identifies a campaign or a place of posting, never a person. This code is not passed to any advertising network together with the customer’s identity or contact details. Where the visitor has accepted audience measurement, it appears in the page addresses sent to Google Analytics, under the conditions described in the “Cookies and trackers” section. Legal basis: Easy Game Server’s legitimate interest in assessing its advertising spend and promotional actions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is kept with the order data.

Section 4

Recipients, retention and rights

Data may be transmitted to the processors strictly necessary to the service: hosting provider, payment provider, email delivery provider, billing and accounting provider, third-party identity providers used for sign-in, and technical vendors operating the management panel.

The game server may be hosted in the United Kingdom, the only country outside the European Economic Area where we host. That transfer relies on this adequacy decision, which recognises a level of protection equivalent to the one guaranteed by the General Data Protection Regulation; it therefore requires neither standard contractual clauses nor additional safeguards. No hosting takes place outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. The hosting country of the server is communicated to the customer on request.

Account data is kept for the duration of the customer relationship, then one year from its end. Accounting records are kept for ten years under the French commercial code. Customer identification data is kept for five years from the end of the contract, and technical connection data for one year from the connection, under the obligations that apply to hosting providers. Support data is kept for the time needed to process the request and contractual follow-up. Data hosted on the server follows the period stated in the terms of sale.

The customer may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability of data under GDPR conditions. The customer may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.

The customer may object to marketing at any time, free of charge and without giving reasons, using the unsubscribe link included in every email or by writing to support@easygameserver.com. Easy Game Server keeps a record of the objection so as not to contact the customer again.

Section 5

Cookies and trackers

Cookies strictly necessary for account, security and cart operation may be used without prior consent when they are essential to the requested service.

Google Analytics 4 may be used only after consent to measure public pages, call-to-action clicks and language changes. No email, customer identifier, token, Stripe reference or payment data is sent to GA4.

Refusal is as simple as acceptance. As long as audience measurement is not enabled, you are not asked for any choice and no measurement cookie is set. When it is enabled, your choice is stored in your browser and a “Cookies” button appears in the footer so you can change it.
