Section 1
Customer and account
The service is intended for consumers or non-professional customers unless a specific offer or contract is separately agreed.
Ordering requires a customer account with an email address and password. That account is used to manage orders, invoices, subscriptions and service requests. Game server panel credentials may be separate.
Hosting is sold to customers established in one of the twenty-seven member states of the European Union. A subscription order or a gift card purchase whose billing country lies outside the European Union is not accepted. The servers made available and their backups are hosted in data centres located in Europe: in a member state of the European Economic Area — that is, the European Union, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein — or in the United Kingdom, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. The hosting country of the server is communicated to the customer on request to support@easygameserver.com.
A contribution made for the benefit of another customer, through a participation link, is an exception and stays open regardless of country: it does not buy hosting, it credits the link holder’s balance. That holder remains subject to the condition above when using the credit to subscribe.
The acceptable use policy published on the site forms part of these terms.
Section 2
Offers and allocated resource
Easy Game Server provides the machine, the installation and the management of the server software that the game’s publisher distributes; the game itself is neither sold nor licensed by Easy Game Server.
Each offer maps to an allocated hosting resource for a given game server. Player counts are comfort recommendations, not a guaranteed maximum attendance.
Mods, plugins, maps, builds or intensive usage may require a higher offer or manual sizing before ordering.
Content installed by the customer — The customer may install on their server content not supplied by Easy Game Server: mods, plugins, maps, game modes, Steam Workshop content or content from other community platforms. They choose, install and manage it under their own responsibility, and must hold the necessary rights and comply with the terms of its authors and of the game publisher. Easy Game Server does not check this content and does not guarantee that it works, is compatible or is harmless, without prejudice to its own obligations regarding the service it provides. Where such content breaches the acceptable use policy, infringes the rights of a third party or compromises the security of the infrastructure or of other customers, Easy Game Server may ask for it to be removed and, failing that or in an emergency, suspend the server concerned, under the terms of that policy. Content that Easy Game Server installs itself, for example in a preconfigured offer, remains its own responsibility.
Connection address — The server’s connection address (IP address and port) is tied to the machine that runs it. It may change when the server has to be moved to another machine to maintain the service at the level described: maintenance, hardware replacement or failure, a security incident, or withdrawal, discontinuation or degradation of the resource by the hosting provider. It may also change on a change of tier requested by the customer and when resuming after expiry. No other move changes the address without the customer’s agreement. These moves are made at no additional cost, with the server’s data and configuration. Except in an emergency, Easy Game Server informs the customer by email at least seven (7) days before a move that changes the address, stating the planned date and, as soon as it is known, the new address. In the event of a failure or security incident, the information is given without delay after the move. Some games and platforms, including Steam favourites, retain the old address: the customer passes the new one on to their players. If an address change the customer did not request hinders the use of their server, the customer may contact Easy Game Server, which remains available to discuss it with them and look at the possible options together.
Section 3
Prices, order and payment
Public prices are displayed in euros including VAT. The applicable price is the price shown at the time of ordering.
The contract is formed when payment is actually collected. Before that moment no order is firm: the checks displayed during the purchase flow — in particular the availability of the resource with the supplier — are statements of fact made at the time shown, and amount to neither acceptance nor reservation. If collection does not succeed, no contract is formed and nothing is owed.
Payment is made online through Stripe, the payment provider shown during checkout. Service activation starts after payment confirmation and order processing.
The payment confirmation sent by Stripe is authoritative for subscription and payment lifecycle events.
Section 4
Withdrawal right and immediate execution
For consumer customers, the statutory withdrawal right applies under the conditions set by the French Consumer Code, unless an applicable exception applies or the right is lost in the cases provided by law.
When the customer expressly requests immediate execution of the service before the end of the statutory withdrawal period, Easy Game Server may start preparation, installation, configuration and/or server setup as soon as the order is confirmed.
The customer acknowledges that once the setup service has been fully performed, they will no longer be able to exercise the withdrawal right for that already performed service. If a valid withdrawal is made after the requested start but before full performance, the customer may remain liable for the service provided up to the request, as well as preparation, installation and setup operations already actually performed, in accordance with article L. 221-25 of the French Consumer Code.
Requesting immediate execution does not forfeit the withdrawal right on the remainder: a withdrawal validly exercised within the statutory period gives rise to a refund of the sums paid, less the part corresponding to the service already provided up to the request and to the setup operations already performed. Requests are made through the online withdrawal function available from the footer of every page of the site (“Withdraw from contract here”), in accordance with articles L. 221-21 and D. 221-5 of the French Consumer Code; they may also be sent to support@easygameserver.com or made by any other unambiguous statement. An acknowledgement stating the content of the declaration together with the date and time it was sent is provided to the customer on a durable medium. The refund is issued to the original payment method, at the latest fourteen (14) days after the request is received.
When shown before payment, setup, installation or technical preparation fees are non-refundable if they correspond to a service already performed at the customer’s express request. This rule does not deprive the customer of mandatory legal rights in case of non-conformity, non-performance or contrary mandatory provision.
The express request for immediate execution, acceptance of these terms and the waiver of the right of withdrawal, to the extent permitted by law and for services fully performed, are collected separately during checkout, before payment, and stored with the order.
Section 5
Gift cards, server credit and contributions
An Easy Game Server gift card is a prepaid multi-purpose voucher, usable on any offer in the catalogue at the time it is used. It is tied to no game and to no particular offer when it is bought. It is bought for the benefit of a third party: the buyer cannot activate it on their own account.
The code is activated by its beneficiary from their customer area. Activation turns the card into server credit added to that account’s balance. The credit is neither transferable to another account nor convertible back into money.
Server credit is applied automatically to the account’s upcoming hosting invoices. Where it does not cover an invoice in full, the difference is charged to the payment method on file. A valid payment method is required when subscribing, including where the credit covers the whole amount: it serves the following instalments and is not charged as long as the credit is sufficient.
Server credit does not expire. No time limit is applied to it and no balance-keeping fee is charged.
For a consumer buyer, the statutory right of withdrawal applies to the purchase of a gift card for fourteen (14) days from the purchase, as long as the code has not been activated. Requests are made through the same online withdrawal function (“Withdraw from contract here”, in the footer) or by any other unambiguous statement; the refund is issued to the payment method used for the purchase and the code is permanently voided.
Activation of the code by its beneficiary delivers the voucher in full and ends that option: the credit added to the balance is no longer refundable. This rule does not deprive the customer of their statutory rights in the event of lack of conformity, non-performance, or any mandatory provision to the contrary.
A customer may receive contributions from third parties through a participation link generated from their customer area. Each contribution is the purchase of a voucher for the benefit of the link holder; it is credited to their balance as soon as the payment is confirmed, with no code to pass on. The holder sees the total amount received; the identity of contributors is not disclosed to them.
Because the contribution is credited immediately, the contributor expressly requests that immediate performance and waives, before paying and to the extent permitted by law, their right of withdrawal on that transaction. These statements are collected on the participation page and kept with the order.
Buying a gift card or making a contribution is not the supply of the hosting service. Value added tax becomes due when the credit is used, on the corresponding hosting invoice.
Section 6
Subscription and cancellation
Recurring offers are billed according to the frequency shown during checkout. The customer manages the subscription from their customer account, without going through support.
Offers without a commitment are entered into for an indefinite term. They may be cancelled at any time, free of charge and without stating a reason, and are not subject to tacit renewal: they continue through successive billing periods until cancelled.
For offers subscribed to with a commitment, the customer may request cancellation at any time. It takes effect at the end of a notice period that may not exceed two months from the request, and the contract is then terminated by operation of law — including where the customer is not switching provider and merely wishes to end the service and erase their data. A transitional period of thirty (30) calendar days follows that notice period; the contract remains applicable throughout.
Cancellation for convenience does not automatically refund an already paid period.
Section 7
Tacit renewal of commitments
Offers subscribed to with a 3, 6 or 12-month commitment, other than offers based on a dedicated server, are tacitly renewed for an identical duration at the end of each period, unless the customer refuses, or unless Easy Game Server notifies non-renewal no later than the non-renewal deadline. Offers based on a dedicated server, subscribed to for an initial term of 3, 6 or 12 months, are tacitly converted at the end of that initial term, unless the customer refuses, or unless Easy Game Server notifies non-renewal no later than the non-renewal deadline, into a monthly subscription for an indefinite term, at the monthly prices stated before the order; from then on they fall under the rules for offers without a commitment set out in the “Subscription and cancellation” section.
The customer, whether a consumer or a non-professional, is informed of this renewal, or of this conversion and of the monthly prices that will apply afterwards, by a dedicated email sent at the earliest three months and at the latest one month before the deadline for refusing renewal. The customer may refuse the renewal or the conversion at any time from their customer account, free of charge and without giving a reason, until that deadline.
Pursuant to article L. 215-4 of the French Consumer Code, articles L. 215-1, L. 215-1-1, L. 215-2 and L. 215-3, together with article L. 241-3 of that Code, are reproduced in full below, in their original French. The French text of these five articles is their sole authentic version; the English rendering given after them is provided for information only and has no contractual value.
English rendering of the five articles above, provided for information only. The French text of these articles is their sole authentic version.
Article L. 215-1 — For contracts for the provision of services entered into for a fixed term with a tacit renewal clause, the professional service provider informs the consumer in writing, by dedicated personal letter or dedicated email, at the earliest three months and at the latest one month before the end of the period allowing the renewal to be rejected, of the possibility of not renewing the contract concluded with a tacit renewal clause. That information, given in clear and comprehensible terms, states, in a prominent box, the deadline for non-renewal.
Where that information has not been sent in accordance with the first paragraph, the consumer may terminate the contract free of charge at any time from the renewal date.
Advance payments made after the last renewal date or, for open-ended contracts, after the date on which the initial fixed-term contract was converted, are in that case refunded within thirty days from the date of termination, less the sums corresponding, up to that date, to the performance of the contract.
The provisions of this article apply without prejudice to those which legally subject certain contracts to specific rules as regards consumer information.
By way of exception to the first paragraph of this article, for television service supply contracts within the meaning of article 2 of Law no. 86-1067 of 30 September 1986 on freedom of communication, and for on-demand audiovisual media service supply contracts, the consumer may terminate the contract free of charge at any time from the first renewal, where they change residence or where their tax household changes.
Article L. 215-1-1 — Where a contract has been entered into by electronic means, or has been entered into by another means and the trader, on the day of cancellation by the consumer, offers consumers the possibility of entering into contracts by electronic means, cancellation shall be made possible by that same means.
To that end, the trader shall make available to the consumer a free functionality allowing the notification and the steps required to cancel the contract to be carried out by electronic means. Where the consumer notifies cancellation of the contract, the trader shall confirm receipt of the notification and shall inform them, on a durable medium and within reasonable time, of the date on which the contract ends and of the effects of the cancellation.
A decree shall lay down, in particular, the technical arrangements such as to guarantee identification of the consumer and easy, direct and permanent access to the functionality referred to in the second paragraph, including its presentation and use. It shall determine the information to be supplied by the consumer.
Article L. 215-2 — The provisions of this chapter, with the exception of article L. 215-1-1, do not apply to operators of drinking water and sanitation services.
Article L. 215-3 — The provisions of this chapter also apply to contracts entered into between professionals and non-professionals.
Article L. 241-3 — Where the professional has not made the refund under the conditions provided for in article L. 215-1, the sums due bear interest at the statutory rate.
Section 8
Switching provider and retrieving your data
The customer may at any time switch to another provider, port their service to on-premises ICT infrastructure they operate themselves, or terminate the contract and erase their data. Easy Game Server does not oppose this and attaches no condition to it other than those set out below.
Notice period — a request to switch provider, or to erase their data within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854, takes effect at the end of a notice period that may not exceed two months from the request. That notice period runs even where the offer was subscribed to with a longer commitment.
Termination — at the end of that notice period the contract is terminated by operation of law, including where the customer is not switching provider and merely wishes to end the service and erase their data. Easy Game Server notifies the customer of the termination of the contract.
Transitional period — a period of thirty (30) calendar days follows the end of the notice period. Throughout that period the contract remains applicable and the customer retains access to their service and data in order to complete the transfer or export.
The customer has the right to extend that transitional period once, for the duration they deem most appropriate for their own purposes. A request suffices; no justification is required of them. Independently of that right, Easy Game Server may extend the period where the transfer is not technically complete, the burden of establishing that impossibility resting entirely on Easy Game Server.
Continuity, risks and security — throughout the switching process Easy Game Server acts with due diligence to maintain business continuity for the customer, continues to provide the functions of the service, and maintains the same level of security as before the request, both during the transfer and throughout the retrieval period defined below. The known risks to continuity are as follows: the server connection address is not transferable and the customer will need to give their players a new one; game binaries will have to be reinstalled at the destination provider, from their publisher; a short service interruption is unavoidable at the point of switchover; and a saved world will only reload on a compatible game version, the customer’s modules often being tied to a specific version — the destination provider may not offer the one we run, which we state to the customer on request.
Exportable data and digital assets — the following are exportable in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format: game server backups and all retained restore points (world, maps, characters, inventories and progression data); server configuration files and their metadata; modules and add-ons installed by the customer; access lists (whitelist, bans, operators, roles and permissions); scheduled tasks and their timetable (restarts, automatic backups); the subdomain or connection address allocated to the customer, where one exists — provided for information only, as that address belongs to our domain and cannot be taken over at another provider; retained execution logs; and customer account data (identity, contact details, order history and invoices).
The following are not exportable data within the meaning of article 2 of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854: assets and data protected by third-party intellectual property rights — in particular game binaries supplied by their publishers, which the customer reinstalls from the publisher at the provider of their choice. Also excluded is data relating to the internal functioning of our infrastructure, the disclosure of which would risk breaching our trade secrets.
The customer may download their server backup at any time from their management panel, without contacting support and free of charge. On request, Easy Game Server also provides their account data.
Retrieval then erasure — at the end of the transitional period, a retrieval period of thirty (30) calendar days begins, during which the customer may still request the return of their exportable data. On expiry of that retrieval period, all of the customer’s exportable data and digital assets are erased from our systems.
Charges — no charge is levied for switching provider, for exporting data or for transferring it out. This applies unconditionally and does not depend on any duration or volume condition.
Early termination penalty — no early termination penalty applies to the offers on sale.
Assistance — Easy Game Server provides the customer with the reasonable assistance needed for the switch to proceed smoothly, and supplies the technical information useful for resuming the service elsewhere.
Online register — an up-to-date list of the categories of exportable data and digital assets, and of the formats in which they are provided, appears in this section, kept up to date, and is supplied on request to support@easygameserver.com.
Place of performance and jurisdiction — the servers running the service are located in Europe — in a member state of the European Economic Area — that is, the European Union, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein — or in the United Kingdom, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. The infrastructure running the service falls under the jurisdiction of the State in which it is located. The country in which the resource allocated to the customer is located is communicated to them on request to support@easygameserver.com.
Access by third-country authorities — Easy Game Server is a French company, with no parent company or subsidiary established outside the European Union. The infrastructure running the service is located entirely within the European Economic Area or in the United Kingdom, and we provision no resource outside that perimeter. An access request from a public authority of a third country is handled solely through the judicial cooperation channels provided for by Union law and by the law of the Member State concerned; no disclosure is made outside those channels.
The information referred to in the two preceding paragraphs is published and kept up to date on this page, available at https://easygameserver.com/en/terms.
This section applies without prejudice to the rights the customer derives from the law, in particular from Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 of 13 December 2023; in the event of any discrepancy, the provisions most favourable to the customer prevail.
Section 9
Dedicated offers with initial commitment
Some offers based on a dedicated server may include an initial commitment of three, six or twelve months when the resource carries setup fees or a non-recoverable cost risk. This commitment, together with the monthly prices that apply after its term, is shown during checkout before payment. At the end of the initial commitment, the contract continues under the “Tacit renewal of commitments” section.
Section 10
Delivery and support
Delivery times depend on the resource type. Offers whose setup is automated may be delivered quickly after payment. Dedicated servers may require a longer lead time.
Easy Game Server provides reasonable support for the operation of the sold service. Support does not cover customer-added content, plugins, mods or configurations when they cause an incident outside the service scope.
Section 11
Changes to these terms
Easy Game Server may change these terms. Any change is notified to the customer by email at least one month before it takes effect; a customer who refuses it may terminate free of charge before that date. For an offer subscribed with a commitment, the version accepted at subscription remains applicable until the end of the current term.
Section 12
Backups, complaints and disputes
During the term of the contract, server backups are kept for thirty (30) days from their creation, then deleted. Locking a backup from the panel only prevents it from being replaced by a more recent backup; it does not extend this period. To keep a backup beyond that, the customer downloads it before its expiry.
When the service expires, whatever the cause — term not renewed, cancellation by the customer, termination for non-payment, or non-renewal on our initiative —, access to the server is interrupted and the data it contains is kept for thirty (30) days from the expiry date, then permanently deleted. Where the customer has requested a provider switch or the erasure of their data within the meaning of the “Switching provider and retrieving your data” section, the retention and erasure periods are those of that section, which prevail over this paragraph.
During those thirty days, the customer may request the return of that data. In addition, the customer may ask, in writing to support@easygameserver.com before the end of that period, for their service to be resumed: support then restores the retained data onto a new server for the same game, subscribed to by the customer. The customer may also, at any time during the contract, download their server backup themselves from their server panel. After the thirty-day period, the data can no longer be recovered. This retention is not a guarantee of restoration: it covers the data present at the expiry date, as is.
The return of data is never conditional on payment of amounts due. In the event of non-payment, the service may be suspended then terminated and collection pursued separately, without depriving the customer of their right to obtain their data within the same thirty-day period.
The above durations concern only the data hosted on the server. Account data, accounting records and identification and connection data are kept for the durations stated in the privacy policy and in accordance with the legal obligations that apply to us.
Refund, credit or goodwill requests are reviewed case by case according to the service actually provided, delivery status, incident type, confirmations given during checkout and applicable legal rules. No automatic compensation is promised outside the customer’s mandatory rights.
For complaints, the customer first contacts Easy Game Server at support@easygameserver.com. If no amicable agreement is found, a consumer customer may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator named in the next section. The customer remains free to bring the matter before the competent courts.
Section 13
Disputes — consumer mediation
In the event of a dispute between the Customer and the company, both shall endeavour to resolve it amicably (the Customer shall send a written complaint to the professional or, where applicable, to the professional’s Customer Relations Department).
Failing an amicable agreement, or in the absence of a reply from the professional within a reasonable period of one (1) month, a Customer who is a consumer within the meaning of article L.612-2 of the French Consumer Code may, if a disagreement remains, refer the matter free of charge to the competent mediator listed by the Commission d’évaluation et de contrôle de la médiation de la consommation pursuant to article L.615-1 of the French Consumer Code, namely: La Société Médiation Professionnelle, https://www.mediateur-consommation-smp.fr, Alteritae 5 rue Salvaing 12000 Rodez.
Referring the matter to the mediator is free of charge for the consumer customer. The European online dispute resolution (ODR) platform ceased operating on 20 July 2025 and no longer accepts any complaint. The European Commission’s “Consumer redress” portal, https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/, lists the alternative dispute resolution bodies competent in each Member State; it signposts, but does not handle disputes.
