Acceptable use policy

The Easy Game Server service must be used to host a game server that complies with applicable laws, the rules of the relevant game and these terms.

• Illegal content or activities.
• Harassment, threats, hate, exploitation or infringement of third-party rights.
• Distribution of malware, phishing, spam, botnets or attack tools.
• DDoS attacks, unauthorized scanning, intrusion or attempted intrusion.
• Circumvention of licenses, EULAs, DRM or rules imposed by publishers.
• Excessive or diverted use that disrupts infrastructure, other customers or providers.
• Unauthorized resale or subletting of the service.

In case of abuse, Easy Game Server may request remediation, limit a service, temporarily suspend access, terminate the relevant offer, retain elements needed to handle the incident, or cooperate with competent authorities when required by law.

Except in an emergency, suspension or termination is preceded by a request for correction with a deadline. In the event of termination, the customer retains the right to obtain their data under the terms of sale.

Point of contact — the address support@easygameserver.com is Easy Game Server’s single point of contact, under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services, for Member State authorities, the European Commission, the European Board for Digital Services and users of the service. Communication there takes place in French or English. Messages received at that address are read and handled by a person.

Notice — any person, whether a customer or not, may report to that same address content they consider illegal that is located on a server hosted by Easy Game Server, including content published by the customer or by the players of their server. To be handled effectively, the notice states: the reasons why its author considers the content illegal; the most precise location possible of the content — the server’s connection address (IP address and port) or the server name, where the content is on the server or in the game, and the date and time it was observed; the name and email address of its author, except where the notice concerns the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of children, or child sexual abuse material; and a statement confirming that its author believes in good faith that the information and allegations it contains are accurate and complete.

Handling — Easy Game Server acknowledges receipt of the notice where its author has given an email address, examines it diligently, objectively and in a non-arbitrary manner, without relying on automated decision-making, then informs the author of the action taken and of the redress available to them. Where the content is illegal or breaches this policy, Easy Game Server may ask the customer to remove it and, failing that or in an emergency, take the measures provided for in the “Possible measures” section.

Information to the customer — where a measure restricts a customer’s server or their access to the service, Easy Game Server gives them the reasons no later than when it takes effect: the measure taken and its duration, the facts and circumstances on which it is based, including the existence of a notice, the legal or contractual rule applied, and the redress available to them — a complaint to Easy Game Server, the consumer mediation provided for in the terms of sale for a consumer customer, and the competent courts.

The customer remains responsible for the content, configurations, mods, plugins, administrators and players authorized on the server. The customer must keep credentials confidential and quickly report any suspected compromise.
